What’s Driving Changes in Stocks in Sensex?
The BSE Sensex, a 30-stock benchmark, will see a significant rejig effective June 23, 2025, with Trent Ltd. and Bharat Electronics Ltd. (BEL) replacing IndusInd Bank Ltd. and Nestle India Ltd., as announced on May 22, 2025.
This reshuffle, managed by Asia Index Pvt., reflects India’s evolving market dynamics, favoring retail and defense sectors.
Trent is expected to attract $278 million in inflows, while BEL could see $275 million, driven by their strong performances.
Conversely, Nestle India faces $210 million in outflows, and IndusInd Bank, impacted by governance issues, may see $135 million.
